What is Treedom
Treedom is the first platform in the world that allows you to plant a tree from a distance and follow the story of the project online.
Since its foundation in 2010 in Florence, more than 4,000,000 trees have been planted in Africa, South America and Italy.
All trees are planted directly by local farmers and bring environmental, social and financial benefits to their communities.
Thanks to its business model, in 2014 Treedom became part of the Certified B Corporations, a network of companies that stand out for high environmental and social performance.
The collaboration
On the occasion of the Aerospace Italy 2024 events, with a view to respecting the environment and reducing the environmental impact that these events may entail, AIDAA has decided to undertake a collaboration with Treedom.
As part of this collaboration, AIDAA has donated 500 trees, and established three forests, each dedicated to an Aerospace Italy 2024 event:
- 30th AIAA/CEAS Aeroacoustics Conference, absorbing 54.59 tons of CO2
- 34th Congress of the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences (ICAS) 2024, absorbing 56.37 tons of CO2
- 75th International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2024, absorbing 55.15 tons of CO2
